For my first post on the site, I thought it would be prudent to show some of a side project that has been very very close to me for the past few weeks. I wanted to post earlier, but I was waiting on some Dragon Forge Design power cables to bring this bad boy to life.
Ladies And Gentlemen....
Magnus the Red(wip)
Starting with the Plastic Chaos Terminator Lord, I lengthened the legs with plasticard spacers, and widened the torso with more plasticard and a chunk of sprue
I then cut triangles of green stuff to form his headdress, and shaped a blob of Green Stuff into his kingly mane
Using another blob of Green Stuff, I extended the height of the torso, in the next step I will GS over the Terminator torso, and smooth it out, easing the transition into power cord, and add a woven "belt" over the bottom edge. As you can see, I am taking a much more stylized approach to the Crimson King, because quite frankly, even this simple work thus far has taxed me to the edge of my abilities, so replicating the artwork is next to impossible.
Right now, he stands about twice the height of a terminator, somewhere around the height of a Dreadnought or Bel'akor the Dark Master. Since I've taken these pictures, I've added a rudimentary Green Stuff tabard to him, lots of flat area, but good practice for the Cape to come and detailed the base with a skull, som egreen stuff and other debris. This fellow will be the centerpiece of a Pre-Heresy event my local GW is running, and I don't aim to disappoint!
Next time- Armor stage 2, Capes and Cloaks, and a weapon worthy of a Crimson King.

Hello Blagosphere!
Hello Y'all!
This is my first attempt at a blog to chronicle the painting and growth of my armies and projects.
My name is Sean, and I am a wargame junkie.
I have a passion for the fluff and backstory of 40k, and am dipping my toes into the rich lore of Warhammer Fantasy, as well as Warmachine and Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game. My first army was a small Word Bearers warband, but my model ADD has limited me from finishing another army since.
My first post with pictures should be up in a few hours. Enjoy the ride!
